Tropical Traditions Review/Giveaways

THIS GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED!

My Review:

I was given chance to review another product from Tropical Traditions. I had mentioned earlier in my first Tropcial Traditions review that I loved their Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil when I used it for cooking. So when they offered me the opportunity to try out another one of their products of course I immediately replied that I would. I was given their Citrus Scented Moisturizing Cream to review. When I am pregnant and especially in the winter I have very dry skin on my hands. I also wash many dishes each day and wash my hands several times throughout the day, so that contributes to my dry skin conditions. When I first tried their moisturizer it was definitely creamy. I rubbed it in well and the great thing is that you don't have to use much. It was absorbed by my dry skin and my skin felt softer and supple. I love it so much that I also rub it on my growing belly!

I love the Citrus scent and I look forward to using more Tropical Traditions products!
The fact that there is no alcohols, artificial fragrances or petroleum in their products made me comfortable enough to use it on my kids skin.

The ingredients are: purified water, organic virgin coconut oil, plant based emulsifying wax, palm stearic, grapefruit seed extract, organic beeswax, organic virgin palm oil, and organic essential oils of orange, mandarin, spearmint, lemon, grapefruit, lemongrass, and tangerine.

About the founders:

The founders of Tropical Traditions are Brian and Marianita Shilhavy.

Brian W. Shilhavy, BA, MA
Brian earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible/Greek from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, and his Master of Arts degree in linguistics from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago. He is currently the CEO of Tropical Traditions, Inc.

Marianita Jader Shilhavy, BS, CND (Certified Nutritionist/Dietician in the Philippines) earned her bachelor of science degree in nutrition in Manila. Understanding the nutrition of Filipino foods, Marianita worked for over eight years as a hospital dietician and nutritional counselor in the Philippines.

In 1998 Brian and Marianita returned to the Philippines with their three children and renovated Marianita's old family farmhouse. By this time the coconut industry was severely depressed due to the negative U.S. campaigns against tropical oils in the 1980s and 1990s. Coconut farmers could no longer support their families on the income generated from harvesting coconuts.
