YO GABBA GABBA! LIVE! Review

Last week we were able to take the youngest kids (Yo-Gabba-Gabb-ites ^pictured above) to watch Yo Gabba Gabba! Live! We attended the show at Kingsbury Hall in Salt Lake City, Utah. This audience participation-filled show, featured some Yo Gabba Gabba favorites: DJ Lance Rock, Brobee, Foofa, Muno, Plex, and Toodee, with special guests Hip Hop Legend Biz Markie and Razzle Dazzle Superstar Leslie Hall. It was awesome to see how much the kids enjoyed the show. For the most part our 3 year old sat still, watched and danced. She LOVED the show! I loved that the show had so much audience participation. I loved how much fun it was. It really kept the kids entertained and involved with the show. We definitely look forward to seeing their favorite characters next year. They sang some of our little one's favorite songs, like "There's a Party in My Tummy!"

Compared to the last show, this show was much more exciting. The cast and crew definitely KNOW how to make this show fun for all ages! I loved the music that they used for the show. Definitely my type of family music and fun! I am sure your family will love it as much as we did.

Thanks so much Yo Gabba Gabba! We had fun getting to know the characters and their songs.

At the end the kids were all smiles at the END! ^ The little one, well she didn't want to leave the show. I especially loved seeing, Leslie Hall she cracks me up, she sure is talented!

Our Thoughts:

Our family loved the cereals we were sent. We received Lucky Charms and Honey Nut Cheerios. Of course they are some of the classic cereals, what better cereals to pair up with DC Super Hero Comics.
Each of the cereals have that distinct freshness and flavor that is always nostalgic for me, as a child of the 80's and 90's these cereals were always the most requested in our house. I love it that Big G Cereals makes reading an important part of a healthy meal. I am sure that your family will enjoy some of these tasty cereals and the bonus comic books as well!

Our Thoughts:

We loved our fun-da-middles! I baked them as an after school snack for the kids. They came home and thought they were just regular old, non-frosted cupcakes. If you have little ones like I do, I am sure that they will be thrilled that the Yo Gabba Gabba Tour has started! We went last year and all of the kids, including our 6 month old, LOVED it! Here are some photos of the last show. It was entertaining for the adults as well. The audience participation makes it even more fun! The kids loved dancing along. I am sure your family will enjoy this event as well. We were able to do the meet and greet afterwards. They provided some great healthy snacks for our family and we had some photo opportunities with the cast afterwards. For my kids in particular, it definitely was the most favorite event of the year. They are still talking about how much fun it was. I definitely recommend this fun-filled any family. Go check it out! Our Review:

I was really impressed by how delicious these sandwiches were. I enjoyed them. A whole lot! Let's just say my kids had a few bites.....lol! I loved how I could easily warm these up and make myself a quick and yummy breakfast without worrying about the time it takes to make something this delicious from scratch. I love any shortcut I can find, and this is one easy, and yummy breakfast item.

Our Review:

My thoughts:

Overall this book is a great read, especially if you like mystery novels and the excitement of the twists in the storyline are captivating. For me, I like a good and easy read. Mostly because I am busy mom of 6 kids. I enjoyed the character Cliff's ability to step out of his comfort zone, to do what any father would do for his child...only it was in a way that was to help another family in similar circumstances. I think as parents, it's important to form a village. To help one another in keeping our children safe and free from the worries that this world can sometimes bring.

In closing, I think this book is well written as far as the storyline goes. I truly did enjoy this book. His writing style is unique. I love that he publishes his own books. I think it's definitely worth while reading. I would rate this book on a scale of 1-10. 10 being the highest, I would rate it as a 7.

My Husband's thoughts:

This book started out really great, had some storyline changes that made it better. The situations that the character faces with his family are devastating and made me really appreciate that I have never had to deal with such circumstances. But overall I felt that this book lacked a certain depth. Some of the details in the story seemed a little predictable and sort of unrealistic. I would compare his writing style to John Grisham. I think with a bit more practice, this author will be amazing. Unfortunately I really expected more action, more suspense and more detail and especially for it to have been a bit more realistic, the numerous characters made it a bit confusing. It was an okay read for me. It was not my favorite. I would rate this book on a scale of 1-10. 10 being the highest, a 4.

My favorite song on the CD is "She got the Honey". I hope he comes to Salt Lake City on his next tour. :)

Pretty Vintage Aprons * Flirty Aprons

Confession: I collect aprons. Not just any old aprons but pretty aprons. I like them to have color, charm and to look nice hanging in my kitchen as well as look nice on me. I wear aprons to cook, clean, and garden. It always makes the chore so much more pleasurable when wearing a pretty kitchen apron.

Flirty Aprons, you may have seen them in the mall, sent me one of their aprons. I chose the Marilyn Swanky Brunette. It has a beautiful vintage rose print with an accent of a mocha dotty print. Three things I love about it... 1} the vintage roses 2} the layers of ruffles 3} the fit. It fits better than a lot of aprons I have tried on. Who knew you had to try on an apron to see if it fits well. I didn't until I started my collection.

Our kids love the adventures that were throughout the DVD's. The boys especially ask to watch them all the time. I love that many of the old shows I have seen growing up are being released to DVD! Our Review:

We loved this cereal, in fact it was gone in about 2 hours. The kids loved the taste and texture. It doesn't get soggy too fast, it has that delicious cocoa flavor that our family LOVES! I would definitely say it's the kids new favorite.

Our Review:

I just loved how interesting this DVD set was for my family. Disney has done a great job with this show and DVD. From a parent's perspective, the one thing that I enjoy about watching the kids as they enjoy this DVD is that they interact with the show. The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is a great DVD selection for families to enjoy. I love listening to their input as Mickey and his friends ask them questions about which tools they should use to solve problems that they are faced with. I would highly recommend this as a must have for your family's DVD library.

Our kids loved the first Kung Fu Panda. It's one of the most requested on our list for movie nights. It's such a fun movie that we adults love it too. We were given Lucky Charms cereal to review and a Crane action hero, along with the first Kung Fu Panda movie. Lucky Charms is also one of the kids favorite cereals. So we definitely loved this review. They had some Lucky Charms for breakfast and then when it was movie time, they snacked on Lucky Charms without milk. We thoroughly enjoyed our cereal and movie night.

Our Review:

Our Review-

We definitely liked the humor throughout the movie, it was fun for the girls and they definitely saw a bit of the nostalgia associated with high school prom's. Overall, the girls really liked it and mommy just thought it was alright. Not my favorite, but a great one for the tween girls to enjoy.

Our Review:

We had a Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure movie night. It's always a blast with my 7 and soon-to-be 9 year old daughter, along with 3 of their girl cousins. Aside from the girly fun, the movie turned out to be, better than we expected. As with most spin-offs they have a hit-or-miss element to them, well Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure (A spin-off of the High School Musical trilogy) was a definitely a hit in our home with our kids. The girls and yes even my sons, enjoyed each of the High School Musical movies. It's even more awesome that the movie was filmed at my old High School, which really is called East High School.

The most hilarious line according to our kids was, in the studio apartment scene, where Sharpay enters the apartment and Sharpay says, "You said this was a studio, NO WAY! MGM is a studio, this, this is a roach motel with no room service!"

We loved Sharpay's character in this film because she shows confidence and what can happen when you follow your dreams and aspirations, regardless of what the journey might bring. Boi, the dog was such a cute character too!

Our Review:

Let's just say this review was very much enjoyed by our kids. They can be picky about some of their meals. Yoplait Kids yogurt has become one of the most requested snacks in our home. I would definitely say it is a staple in our home. I like that the serving of the yogurt is just right for little ones to enjoy. Overall....we really had a blast reviewing Yoplait Kids Yogurt.The texture is just right and the flavors are not overly sweetened.

Written by Alfred Gough, Miles Millar, and Marti Noxon, based on the novels by Pittacus Lore (pen name for James Frey and Jobie Hughes).

Directed by D.J. Caruso.

Synopsis:

Three are dead. He is Number Four. D.J. Caruso (“Eagle Eye,” “Disturbia”) helms a suspense-thriller about an extraordinary young man, John Smith (Alex Pettyfer), who is a fugitive on the run from ruthless enemies sent to destroy him. Changing his identity, moving from town to town with his guardian Henri (Timothy Olyphant), John is always the new kid with no ties to his past. In the small Ohio town he now calls home, John encounters unexpected, life-changing events—his first love (Dianna Agron), powerful new abilities and a connection to the others who share his incredible destiny.

Our Review:

This film is was a refreshingly good movie. It's rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence and action, and for language; running time: 1 hour, 48 minutes. I would say I rather enjoyed this movie over the most recent Twilight films. I started out a twilight fan, but I think I am now an "I Am Number Four" fan. I wouldn't say it's my absolute favorite movie. The movie is for the most part good, there are a few flaws that I think are worth mentioning, but I won't even go there. Mostly because, I think it's a great movie. But, the fact that it's similar to many movie plots that are in similar genres. But for the first time, I appreciated that the film had less sexuality. The violence in the film, really wasn't too gory either. My favorite line is when the main character John, says to his first love Sarah, " When we love, we love forever."

Overall, I must say I enjoyed it. It's worth watching.
