With 5 kids and on more on the way we definitely have our share of sick days and fevers. Our old thermometer was the typical plastic cheaply made digital thermometer from the local store. It worked okay for about a year and it's actually not working well right now. I find it annoying to take temperatures for my babies because just dealing with axillary temperatures when you are already sleep deprived just adds more stress when the baby is fussy and sick. At the doctors office they use Temporal Scanner's and I have only seen them in use there, but I figured they were probably really expensive, but I really could use one. Thanks to the generosity of Exergen , I have had the chance to review one. I have since used it for all the kids because they have been feeling sick and I have been more confident in knowing that my kids are doing fine with recent bouts of the cold during this cold and flu season. Taking their temperature's is no longer a hassle like the old thermometer
