Sprout Organic Baby Food Review

The GOODS:

About the Product:

"Sprout Foods is an innovative children's organic food company. Sprout produces uniquely prepared baby food in a light weight, eco-friendly package. Our recipes have been developed by our Co-Founder Tyler Florence."

Our Review:

Sprout foods contacted me to do a review & giveaway of their baby foods. Since we have a new baby on the way I was very excited to learn about this new baby food company and their organic products. First thing I loved was the unique, light weigh and Eco-friendly packaging. The pouch is made up of layers of BPA-free plastic and foil.  The layer in contact with the food is very heat resistant Polypropylene; All plastic layers are BPA-free.The food comes in a pouch which has a zipper for resealing. The only downside is that the packaging is not microwave safe, but it has the plus it's conveniently re-heated just by placing it in a bowl of warm water until the desired temperature is reached.

Our 18 month-old's favorite flavor was the Roasted Pear. She ate it all up and wanted more.
She wasn't a fan of the blueberry and apple, it was a bit sour for her. (The older kids liked it though.) She loved the Baked Sweet Potato & White Bean!

Overall, our experience with Sprout Baby Food was great, as a mom it makes me feel good to feed
my baby wholesome, nutritious food that is also innovative with eco-friendly packaging. I also think it's a great baby food for 72-hour kits, because of it's convenient and light weight packaging.
It lasts up to 18 months.

Nutritional Information:

I was very impressed with what I read-

"Made with all certified organic ingredients.
No artificial flavors, colors or preservatives."

"Our organic ingredients are certified grown and handled without the
use of chemical pesticides and fertilizers. Sprout is Just Pure Food."

How is Sprout Baby Food

prepared, and how is it different?

The difference is the flavor! Sprout Baby Food is produced in small batches using proprietary processes that develop the natural flavors of the ingredients through carmelization and browning. We never add any preservatives, sugar, starches, or fillers. Our food is made from all-natural organic ingredients. Our Chef, Tyler Florence, took the traditional methods that he uses in the kitchen and tailored them to work on a little larger scale. Our unique packaging also allows us to preserve
more flavor and nutrients.

They sent us three great flavors to try:

Roasted Pears

Baked Sweet Potato & White Beans

Roasted Apples & Blueberries
