Simply My Life Sweepstakes

As a wife and mama of 5 kids (and one more due in May), I am always looking for ways to simplify my life to make it more enjoyable. I am super busy! You moms know what I mean, the kids school events & projects, doctor appointments and just the day to day grind of household duties, even blogging can be time consuming. It is often hard to balance it all without forgetting things that need to be done. I also happen to be one of the most forgetful people you will ever know. Seriously, sometimes I forget details about what happened within the week. I am super excited about the "Simplify My Life Sweepstakes", because having an HP Mini will help me smooth out all the bumps & get things in order for my family. Things that keep my life hectic are the monthly prenatal exams, my sons weekly speech therapy sessions, my husbands doctor appointments every three months, and then there are the regular dental and well child exams to squeeze in. Add to these appointments, the extended family events, helping out with my aging father, babysitting nieces and nephews from time to time, teaching a class at church, keeping up with bills, shopping trips, meal planning and cooking, 3 loads of laundry daily, the list goes, on and on, and on......Mind you, I am not complaining, just being real.

As a busy mom, I must always make time to enjoy the "moments". What I mean is, I take time out to enjoy each child in some small way. I talk to them individually or have them help me individually while we talk about anything. I cherish these "moments". I also make time for these "moments" with my husband, we talk about our life, our memories and plans we have and then we express our appreciation for one another. It means the world to me when I can express how I feel without feeling rushed to get something else done.

I know without a doubt that I would function a whole lot better with a bit of help from a sweet HP Mini, to keep me organized and on top of things, and I would definitely have more sweet and precious "moments" to enjoy!

HP teamed up with 5-time Olympian Dara Torres (aka-Supermom) to show you how you can use the HP Mini with Windows® 7 Home Premium to simplify your everyday tasks, work the way you want, and make new things possible.

That's all you have to do to enter!

Crayola Holiday Gifts- Review

This holiday season, Crayola offers gifts that will light up your children’s imaginations and provide them with creative memories that will last a lifetime.
Crayola provided me with some of the hottest gifts
of the season
to review through MyBlogSpark™.
  • Beginnings Color Me A Song
  • Color Explosion Glow Dome
  • Glow Station

* The Crayola Beginnings Color Me A Song lets little ones draw to the beat of their own drum, trumpet, piano or guitar. This portable drawing and music creation station features a pressure-sensitive board that matches a melody to the artist’s pace. Draw fast, and the tempo picks up. Slow down, and so does the music. Four instrument buttons let kids pick their favorite sound. Color Me a Song was named a “Toy of the Year” by FamilyFun magazine and one of American Baby magazine’s picks for “Best Toys of the Year.”
For children 24 months and up; suggested retail price is $24.99.

* The Crayola Color Explosion Glow Dome is sure to bring wide-eyed wonder to kids’ faces when the lights go out and they watch their artwork glow and spin on a moving, two-layered dome of light. Kids control the “glow-motion” fun and can dial up slow, medium or warp speed to create a wild, animated scene. For ages six and up; suggested retail price is $29.99.

* The Crayola Glow Station illuminates children’s imaginations through the magic of drawing with light on a large-size glow-in-the-dark canvas. Using a light wand, children can either draw freehand or use stencils and texture sheets to create more realistic drawings. A diamond-shaped tip can be snapped on the end of the light wand for stamping unique starburst designs on the canvas. Drawings magically disappear over time, or can be “erased” by turning on the lights, so kids can create again and again for limitless fun.
For children ages six and up; suggested retail price is $29.99.

Crayola would also like to share some exciting news about the Give the Gift of Creativity Sweepstakes, (Ends 12/24/09) where you can enter to win a 7-night Caribbean cruise for a family of 4 on Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas. Entering is simple! All you have to do is visit and create a Crayola wish list for your child. You can choose from a list of fun wishes like Star Skateboarding, Martian Sleepovers, and Boogie Woogie. Crayola will then recommend an item from their Holiday Gift Guide that corresponds to the wish. You can enter once a day, and an extra entry is also
available for those who share the wish list on Facebook.

The Review

These toys are some of my kids favorite toys that they have EVER had--seriously!
Last month we had a 6-hour power outage. The glow dome and the Glow Station came in
so handy for our kids and their cousins who were bored with nothing else to do in the dark. I didn't have to hear them whining about being bored or scared in the dark.
They took their toys in their room and had a blast playing in the dark.
They actually look forward to another outage! ;)

These toys are definitely built to last and made with fun in mind. My older kids love the Glow Station the most and my little ones love the Beginnings Color Me a Song the most.
They also love pretending the Glow Dome is a Campfire. They draw flames on it and pretend they are camping or roasting marshmallows. What I love most about these great toys is that they can be creative, artistic and use their imaginations like they should be doing, unlike other toys that they have. We have always loved Crayola products and these three definitely have us excited to see just what Crayola will come up with next. These toys make a wonderful gift!

Not only are these toys fun for kids and adults.
They are affordable to fit any budget.

Thanks again to Crayola & My Blog Spark
for providing these products for review!!

Slim Shots- Review

SlimShots™ triggers the body's natural appetite control mechanism, the ideal brake, satisfying users for long periods of time and in turn, allowing them to eat less, without sacrifice and without depriving them of their favorite foods. Available in two great tasting flavors, Vanilla and Chocolate.

How do they work?
  • SlimShots has been proven to increase the feeling to satiety [i.e., being full].
  • Satiety is the long term effect of a meal—how long it takes to become hungry again and how much food is consumed at the next meal.
  • General Explanation: SlimShots™ triggers the body’s natural appetite control mechanism, the ileal brake, satisfying users for long periods of time and in turn, allowing them to eat less, without sacrifice and without depriving them of their favorite foods.
How do I use SlimShots?
  • For optimal effectiveness; take two shots per day the 1st week; one shot [9.3 ml container] at breakfast and one shot at lunch. Thereafter, one shot at breakfast should be sufficient. However, response rates can vary for individuals depending on different factors like body weight.
  • SlimShots comes in mini shots [i.e., about the site of a coffee creamer], which can be kept at work, in the kitchen or in your purse.
  • SlimShots can be taken as a shot or added to coffee, yogurt, cereal or shakes.

Who can take it?

  • Anyone who wishes to manage their appetite and moderate their food intake.
  • It’s suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
  • It’s an ideal compliment to weight loss products except Alli.
  • If taking any kind of medication, you should consult your doctor before taking SlimShots as a precaution.

SlimShots should be taken in conjunction with a balanced diet and be viewed as part of a sustainable food and weight management regimen.

I had my sister-n-law, try slim shots out and her results went pretty well.

Here is what she said:

"I have used them for 3 weeks and lost 5 lbs. They helped to curb my appetite between meals. I drank a shot and washed it down with water afterward because there is a bit of an aftertaste, which I have found in other products as well. The chocolate flavor is actually good. It really isn't too bad and the shots are so small and easy to manage. They taste a little like soy milk. I am pretty happy with my results. Slim Shots definitely helped to kick start my weight loss goals. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a little help with controlling their appetite, like I do."

Ways to save on this product:

Slim Shots have a promo going on right now, if you buy a 1 month supply you get another month free for $54.98 + shipping & handling costs.

They offer a 30-day money back guarantee as well.

**In my opinion Slim Shots are moderately priced and worth the investment.**

**As always use your own judgment and consult with

your own doctor before using slim shots.

The results are a personal opinion and we are not in any way responsible

for any outcome you might have.
