Yoplait Save Lids to Save Lives!

I have personally lost an aunt to breast cancer and I also have a cousin who is a survivor.  It's great to know that Yoplait has a great program to help fund the research and ultimately help find a cure for breast cancer through the Susan G. Komen foundation. Let's do what we can to save lives.  Visit Facebook.com/Yoplait and click the Save Lids to Save Lives link ( https://www.facebook.com/Yoplait?sk=wall8 ) to watch celebrity breast cancer surgeon, Dr. Kristi Funk and breast cancer survivor and Komen Los Angeles volunteer, Annette Reid discuss breast health and risk reduction. Thanks to early detection, Annette's breast cancer was caught early and successfully treated. The 9-year breast cancer survivor has turned her fight into inspiration to help other women in LA through her work with Susan G. Kom...

World Habitat Day!

One my favorite charity organizations is Habitat For Humanity . I have seen them build up homes in the neighborhood and on the news for families in need and the impact they have made on the communities truly is remarkable. Who they are and what they do: Habitat for Humanity International is an ecumenical Christian ministry that welcomes to its work all people dedicated to the cause of eliminating poverty housing. For more information, visit www.habitat.org . How it affects the World: The United Nations has designated the first Monday each October as World Habitat Day . This year on Oct. 5 in Washington, D.C. and around the world, please join Habitat for Humanity in support of this global observance as we come together and declare that t...

A GREAT GIVE AWAY OPPORTUNITY!

Christmas season is almost here and I am sure that most of us have much more than we actually need. My new blog friend Pam posted a wonderful give away on her blog, you can read the post right here . It's time to think about giving away to those who are truly in need. If you would like to be a part of this great opportunity to truly give. I am sure you won't be disappointed with what you will get back, the opportunities are all around us, if we take time to truly think about others first. One way to help right now is to donate to the The St. Joseph Orphanage Christmas drive To find out what is needed read the Children's Christmas list. (click on the news & events tab) I hope we all have a great time with this opportunity to give away!
