I have personally lost an aunt to breast cancer and I also have a cousin who is a survivor. It's great to know that Yoplait has a great program to help fund the research and ultimately help find a cure for breast cancer through the Susan G. Komen foundation. Let's do what we can to save lives.
Visit Facebook.com/Yoplait and click the Save Lids to Save Lives link (https://www.facebook.com/Yoplait?sk=wall8) to watch celebrity breast cancer surgeon, Dr. Kristi Funk and breast cancer survivor and Komen Los Angeles volunteer, Annette Reid discuss breast health and risk reduction. Annette Reid: Having a family history of breast cancer, Annette was always overly cautious about self-exams, regular screening, eating healthy and exercising. Thanks to early detection, Annette's breast cancer was caught early and successfully treated. The 9-year breast cancer survivor has turned her fight into inspiration to help other women in LA through her work with Susan G. Komen for the Cure Los Angeles.
(I missed the chat last week, but I am glad it's available to view online.)
Dr. Kristi Funk: Dr. Funk is a nationally known, board-certified, breast cancer surgeon and founder of the Pink Lotus Breast Center, a comprehensive and integrative breast center exclusively dedicated to the prevention, screening, diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. Dr. Funk has helped thousands of women through breast cancer treatment, including well-known celebrities like Sheryl Crow, who have turned to her for her expertise.
Breast cancer awareness is important year-round - so tune in and find out how you can support women in your community fighting the disease with programs including Yoplait Save Lids to Save Lives. For every pink lid redeemed online or via mail by December 31, Yoplait will donate 10 cents to Susan G. Komen for the Cure - so it´s important to save those lids!
