Our Thoughts:

Our family loved the cereals we were sent. We received Lucky Charms and Honey Nut Cheerios.  Of course they are some of the classic cereals, what better cereals to pair up with DC Super Hero Comics.
Each of the cereals have that distinct freshness and flavor that is always nostalgic for me, as a child of the 80's and 90's these cereals were always the most requested in our house. I love it that Big G Cereals makes reading an important part of a healthy meal.  I am sure that your family will enjoy some of these tasty cereals and the bonus comic books as well!

The Giveaway:

One of my fabulous readers will win a Big G Cereal Heroes Prize Pack, that includes:

  • 1 box of a participating Big G cereal
  • 1 set of the collectable DC Super Hero comic books
  • 1 Green Lantern action figure

  62. When my oldest first started to read, he had a big interest in comics (still does!) With all of the photos, and few words, he was able to decipher the stories easily. Since he really wanted to know exactly what was going on in each comic, he worked hard figuring out the words on his own and, with some of the more advanced comics, even learned some pretty tough vocabulary!

  76. I feel that anytime you READ to your child and they are interested in the story and the outcome, you build a natural curiosity for the next story! And eventually they do want to read them themselves.

  82. I encourage my kids to read, period. As long as it is not inappropriate than so be it.I wouldn't care if they we reading the back of a cereal box as long as they were reading.

With that being said, comic books hold my boys attention a lot longer than traditional books. It is also something that they share a bond with their father over. It's a win, win!
