Tropical Traditions-Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil Review/Giveaways

OUR REVIEW:

I was given the chance to sample Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil in our home.
As a Polynesian mom and Polynesian Recipe blogger, I was definitely excited about this opportunity. I love using coconut milk in cooking and I've never actually used coconut oil for cooking.

There are several recipes on this site using their products. My favorite and the one I have tried with this coconut oil is the Roast Chicken with Coconut Oil. I love this recipe and
my family has been asking for it over and over again! I am looking forward to trying
many more of these recipes for my blog as well! I am enjoying this product and using it for cooking is a delight!

All I can say is that you have to try it for yourself.

Here is a short video about Virgin Coconut Oil:

ABOUT the founders:

Brian W. Shilhavy, BA, MA earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible/Greek from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, and his Master of Arts degree in linguistics from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago. He is currently the CEO of Tropical Traditions, Inc.

Marianita Jader Shilhavy, BS, CND (Certified Nutritionist/Dietician in the Philippines) earned her bachelor of science degree in nutrition in Manila. Understanding the nutrition of Filipino foods, Marianita worked for over eight years as a hospital dietician and nutritional counselor in the Philippines.

In 1998 Brian and Marianita returned to the Philippines with their three children and renovated Marianita’s old family farmhouse. By this time the coconut industry was severely depressed due to the negative U.S. campaigns against tropical oils in the 1980s and 1990s. Coconut farmers could no longer support their families on the income generated from harvesting coconuts.

It took me a long while to get off that site! lol I'd like to try their coconut flour one of these days, and their hair treatments... That site recommendation came just in time, because I'm trying to find a way to make siamu popo for my mom's birthday... she's from Sasina and remembers eating that stuff... so, I gotta be the good daughter and make it for her. :)

I do follow you on all three... via RSS feed, Twitter update and Facebook. You've been helping me get my Samoan cooking mojo going! (so, thank you very much...)
