Doc McStuffins: Friendship is the Best Medicine ~ Review

My kids had only seen one episode of Doc McStuffins on Disney Jr. previously, because we don't have cable TV. I have 6 children ages 2-10 years old. Our 4 year old daughter and 2 year old son definitely enjoy this adorable animated series the most, so it's definitely fun for this age group.

We loved how the main character, 6 year old doctor African American character Doc McStuffins, helps to heal and treat her toy friends from all around her neighborhood. Her mother happens to be a doctor, and Doc McStuffins gets help from her mother from time to time.

As a parent, the idea for the story is just what we look for in a children's animated series. Imagination at play, hand in hand with education.

What child didn't grow up playing doctor? My kids have definitely enjoyed playing doctor and this series does a great job encouraging role model play. Added bonus is how the creators of the show has interaction with the audience by asking them to help solve problems with the patients so that Doc McStuffins can heal them.
